Perpetual e-Motion

Perpetual e-Motion is a name that aptly describes the kinetic energy that this duo inspires in the dancers for whom they play. Guitarist John Cote and fiddler Ed Howe joined talents several years ago in the New England based traditional dance band, Wake the Neighbors, where they crafted a unique sound and quickly gained a reputation for pushing the possibilities with traditional dance music. Performing as a duo, John and Ed utilize their multi-instrumental talents on guitar, mandolin, foot percussion, traditional drums and didgeridoo to craft unique arrangements of both traditional and original music that manages to maintain the integrity of the roots from which their music is derived while also taking an approach that is truly unique and reflective of their many musical influences.
