The Lavender Country and Folk Dancers (LCFD), started in 1988, sponsors, supports, and promotes a nation-wide network of gender-free community dances and dance camps. We are committed to providing safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies through participatory community dance and gender-role free calling. While our dance focus is primarily Contra & English Country Dance, we introduce and incorporate many traditional dance styles at our twice-yearly signature dance camps.
